Promaco Conventions pride itself in going the 'extra mile' for our clients and this includes updating you with the latest trends and information about the industry. For the November newsletter, we would like to share more about the Perth Convention Bureau and how they can assist and support the committee and associations with their conference.
The Perth Convention Bureau (PCB) is a government body of Western Australia that is established to market Perth and Western Australia to national and international not-for-profit association and corporate organisations with the goal of bringing business events to WA.
The Bureau is usually the first point of contact for associations or planners who wish to bid or organise conferences here in Perth. They offer complimentary assistance and can help with marketing funding, bidding process, site inspections and promotional assistance as well as connecting you to local industry suppliers such as Promaco Conventions.
One initiative of the PCB is highly successful and supports local convenors with their bids for international and national conferences is the Aspire Program.
The PCB's 2019 Aspire Program is now open to individuals involved with not-for-profit associations in Western Australia, who can apply for the City of Perth $10,000 Aspire Convention Scholarship, the City of Fremantle $5,000 Aspire Convention Scholarship, the City of Mandurah $5,000 Aspire Convention Scholarship and/or the Giving West $7,000 Aspire Conference Scholarship.
The aim of the Aspire Program is to assist the scholarship recipient's personal and professional development through attendance at a relevant conference. The funding covers travel, accommodation and registration expenses to the maximum value of the award.
